2. What if the data on my PC is lost, are the software files retrievable? It is the responsibility of each customer to back up his/her own files. |

7. Can I run the software on more than 1 computer in my gun store? You can install the software on 1 PC or up to 4 PC's at one location (store). In a multiple PC scenario, you would need to have or setup a network. You would install the server software on the main PC. Then install the client portion on the other workstations within your network. You are responsible for properly securing your PC, data, and network. |
8. I run Vista and have issues previewing. Due to security controls within the Vista operating system you must enable “file sharing” and “read and execute” abilities on the AFS folder located in your Program Files folder on your C drive, (c:\program files\afs) in order for the PDF preview page to work properly. |
9. What is my user name and password? The default for both is “admin” (lower case). |
10. How do I install EZ4473 software? Insert CD into CD Drive of your PC and follow instruction prompted by set up wizard. Installation allows you to choose Server or Client set-ups. Data will only be stored on the server PC. The sentinel key must be in the USB port of the server PC during installation. |
11. The installation wizard has asked me to change my firewall settings for installation what should I choose “yes” or “no”? Choose “yes” for the program to work correctly. If you are running a third party firewall product you may have to adjust the firewall manually to allow communication through. |
12. Does the sentinel key need to be plugged in for the software to work properly? Yes you must have the key in at least one USB port on one of the computers in your network for the program to perform properly. Removing the key during operation or set up will terminate the program. |
13. How do the customers begin using the program? Customers begin by pressing the "customer" icon on the home screen and follow the interview questions that are prompted. |
14. After the customer completes his or her section of the interview, where does the salesman go to begin his or her portion of the form? Click the salesman icon and enter the appropriate login information (default is admin). On the screen that follows, the salesman accesses his or her portion of interview by pressing the "salesman info" icon for the corresponding customer. |
15. Can I print the form at any time to review for accuracy? Yes you may click the print/preview icon at any time. |
16. How do I search past records in the salesman screen? Click the search button located on the top right corner of the sales preview screen. |
17. On the salesman screen, when do I check the "transferror/seller's signature obtained" box? Once the gun has left the store the manager should check this box to ensure no further changes can be made to this transaction. |
18. Will there be a yearly maintenance fee associated with this program? Beginning in 2010 there will be a maintenance fee introduced to AFS customers to ensure the continued development of the EZ4473 system and add-ons.

19. What are the capabilities for each user level (salesman, Manager, Admin)? Salesman- Can only complete section B of the 4473 form. Managers- Can complete section B and dispose of firearms by checking TTSO box. Managers can create users. Admin- has full program permissions. Only admin level users can add, edit or delete gun log entries.
